CORPORATE OVERVIEW
MENA Airline is a Jordanian private shareholding company, registered in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan with the Companies Control Department under registration number 1667.
MENA Airline is being developed as a new-generation regional airline focused on connecting underserved and strategically important markets. The airline’s development approach combines disciplined aviation planning, regional connectivity, institutional development and technology-enabled infrastructure. MENA is being built progressively, with regulatory readiness, commercial sustainability and long-term institutional capability forming central elements of its development.
Across the region, important cities, communities and economic destinations remain underserved by direct air connectivity. MENA’s purpose is to help bridge these gaps. The airline’s strategy is built around the belief that connectivity can enable tourism, investment, trade, employment and wider economic participation. This purpose is expressed through MENA’s institutional mission: “Bridge to Opportunity.”
MENA is being developed as a regional connectivity platform rather than simply another airline. Its strategy focuses on disciplined network development, underserved regional opportunities, strategic partnerships and the creation of an aviation platform capable of supporting wider economic connectivity. The airline intends to develop progressively, matching operational growth with regulatory readiness, market demand and institutional capability.
Aqaba is central to MENA Airline’s strategic positioning. Its location provides access to Jordan’s tourism economy and places MENA within reach of important markets and emerging economic destinations across the surrounding region. MENA’s strategy seeks to strengthen Aqaba’s role as a regional gateway while creating additional connectivity between Jordan and selected regional markets.
MENA’s planned network philosophy is centered on regional connectivity and markets where direct air links may be limited or where new connectivity can support economic and tourism development. Future routes and destinations will be introduced progressively and remain subject to regulatory approvals, commercial evaluation and operational readiness.
Aircraft Strategy — ATR 72-600
MENA Airline’s planned fleet strategy is centered on the ATR 72-600, a modern turboprop aircraft well suited to short- and medium-range regional operations. The aircraft supports MENA’s regional connectivity strategy by combining appropriate capacity with operational efficiency for developing and underserved markets. Its characteristics are particularly suited to the type of regional network MENA intends to develop progressively from Aqaba and other strategic points. The ATR 72-600 therefore represents more than an aircraft choice for MENA; it is an important component of the airline’s planned operating model, supporting disciplined capacity deployment, network development and sustainable regional connectivity. Aircraft acquisition, deployment and entry into service remain subject to MENA’s certification process, commercial arrangements and applicable regulatory approvals.
MENA Airline is currently in its pre-operational development and certification stage. The company is progressing its institutional, regulatory and operational preparations through a structured development process. MENA has also engaged independent professional advisers as part of its approach to business evaluation, regulatory readiness and institutional development. Commercial operations will commence only following completion of the applicable regulatory requirements and approvals.
MENA is being designed with technology, artificial intelligence and structured digital systems incorporated into its institutional development from an early stage. The objective is not technology for its own sake, but the creation of stronger decision-making, knowledge management, regulatory discipline, investor communication and scalable institutional infrastructure. This digital-first approach is intended to support MENA as it develops from concept through certification and ultimately into operations.
MENA Airline’s ambition extends beyond connecting airports. It is about connecting people with destinations, businesses with markets, communities with opportunity and the region with new possibilities. Bridge to Opportunity.
